kdx 175 clutch

i have a 1980 kdx 175, i have tried adjusting the cable but the clutch wont fully engage. any ideas thanks, nick

Try going as far out as you can if that doesn't work get a new cable.

do you mean the bike will not move??
the plates are wore out-
or the clutch basket- the plates go in might have grooves wore in the edges -- this keeps the plates from moving in and out right--- there called chatter marks ,you can file them smooth again if its not too bad-and it will be fine
prolly needs new friction plates the "fiber" ones
