kdx 200 shock vs kx 250

I was wondering if the rear shock setup off an 89 kx 250 would fit an 89 kdx 200.

note: cutting and welding are no problem for me

The critical area is usually the clevis (lower shock mount). If it looks the same then I would give it a try.
