i just purchased a 2007 kawasaki kdx 200 what do i have to do to my 2 stroke engine to get it started besides put gas in it i know this seems like a dumb question but im totally knew to this do i have to mix anything, thanks
you need to get yourself some premium or better gasoline,( 91+ octane)and then you need to get yourself some quality two stroke oil from your local dirtbike/motorcycle shop along with a mixing container(not needed, but it makes life easier) and then your probably going to want about a 32:1 mixture of gas to oil.32:1 is a very common mixture to run. after you get your fuel mixed, make sure you have oil in your transmission, and coolant in your radiator, lube on your chain and a clean air filter and you should be set!
oh yeah, most importantly...take the time to take the bike apart and grease everything with bearings, etc....and setup the suspension to be balanced for your weight and riding style...you may need to have different fork and shock springs installed but once again, it's totally worth it and you'll be so dialed in the bike will be PERFECT!
