you need to get yourself some premium or better gasoline,( 91+ octane)and then you need to get yourself some quality two stroke oil from your local dirtbike/motorcycle shop along with a mixing container(not needed, but it makes life easier) and then your probably going to want about a 32:1 mixture of gas to oil.32:1 is a very common mixture to run. after you get your fuel mixed, make sure you have oil in your transmission, and coolant in your radiator, lube on your chain and a clean air filter and you should be set!

Do not run it with straight gas! You will total the motor.

You have to mix the oil (special 2 stroke oil) IN the gas. Do not use lawn mower 2 stroke oil.

The dealer sells this masung up called "ratio right" that show how much oil to use per gallon. It is great if you are unsure or inexperienced.

after break in you'll want to do a Stage 1 performance mod (most bang for the buck and significantly improves performance)

toss the airbox lid, add FMF pipe/silencer and rejet and run 40:1

you won't regret it

oh yeah, most importantly...take the time to take the bike apart and grease everything with bearings, etc....and setup the suspension to be balanced for your weight and riding style...you may need to have different fork and shock springs installed but once again, it's totally worth it and you'll be so dialed in the bike will be PERFECT!

Uh, wasn't 2006 the last year for the KDX in the USA? Are you in another country?
