Kdx 250 Bore Material?

Hi,

I have a 91 KDX 250 but would like to know if the bore is plated or not before I take apart.

Anyone in the know?

It's been a while since I had my '91 250, but I beleive the bore has Kawasaki's 'electrofusion' coating.  This is a very thin but hard plating comparable to nikasil.  The bike does not have a steel liner or a chrome plating to the aluminum cylinder.

Definately an electroplated aluminum cylinder.
