KDX 250 popularity (or lackthereof)

I have a nice 83' KDX250 and I always look around for parts and just general info on the bike itself. I noticed that the 250 is not nearly as popular as the 200. Anyone know why the 250 is so scarce?

I think the 250 was only made till 1994? That might account for the lack of popularity.

they made it until 84, started again in 91, and stopped in 94. It's very similar to the 200. For parts, I always check buykawasaki.com

I rode a 250 and still have access to it ride it. It is a great bike, but compared to the '01 KDX220 I choose to ride now, it is heavier and does not handle as well. The power and performance was still great for trailriding, I just am not as tired after a day of riding now, and I get better handling with the 220. The 220 seems every bit as powerful as the 250, but that could be the weight difference? Regardless, the 250 is still a great bike to take out trailriding.
