I have a 97 KDX 220 with an FMF pipe/silencer and torque reeds. I have run the bike for the past 3 yrs and have not had a single problem. I recently removed the air box cover and WOW, what a difference. I do have a concern that the bike will be running lean and could damage the engine. I was wondering if anyone else has done this mod and if they had to re-jet and if so, what settings where used ? I ride in sand, woods and motocross tracks. I live in upstate NY so I ride in temps from 50-90 degrees. I did check out Freddette Racing's website for info and it was stated no jetting adjustments where necessary with the pipe/silencer on the newer bikes, but nothing was stated about removing the air box lid. Any info would be of help. Thanks
