I have a 92 kdx 250 and when I ride on a dirt road, the front end is loose like it wants to wash out. this happens even on slight turns. The front forks seem stiff to me. When I sit on the bike the forks go down 3 inches from fully extended but seem to want to stay there when I get off the bike. Would moveing the forks up in the clamps help? thanks trs

I have what sounds like the same problem w/ my 90' CR 500. It feels like the front tire has 50 psi of air. I get about 3" of sag but have to lift the front too to fully extend. A freind suggested a tear down to inspect for tube stichon and check the fork springs. I am going to call a local suspension tuner and see if he has any input.

check for correct axle alignment-i think www.mx-tech.com has a guide in the downloads section, if thats ok then look at bushes-the forks shuld move easily up and down for the first few inches. This is very important as the forks work in this area alot to control the bike.
