W.E.R. vs. Scotts - cost comparison
I've been looking at both the Scotts and the W.E.R. unit and keep seeing people commenting that the Scotts unit is much more costly. While it's more expensive, I'm seeing the Scott bolt on kit running around $405 - $410 USD. (This is assuming you don't have to upgrade to a non-crossbar handlebar). The W.E.R. units I'm seeing are in the $345 range w/o the headlight kit, but I have not done an in-depth price search yet to find out the lowest W.E.R. price. (Scotts' website is $450 vs. $399 for the W.E.R) While the $60 dollar difference is not to be taken likely lightly, it's seems to me that the cost difference shouldn't be the final factor when you're spending $400. What am I missing? Is there a cheap source for the W.E.R. unit that I haven't found yet?
