Can anyone tell me if a Kdx (1991 model) plastic tank will fit to the Kdx sr? Thanks

cool. I need to buy a plastic tank since my metal one on my SR is starting to leak where the bottom tab is for the radiator shroud.
JPM200 please take the seat off and tell us what you see for the tanks rear connection. My SR has a post for tank connection. Looking at the parts diagrams at www.buykawasaki.com I can see some kind of elastic connection there for normal KDX's. thanks

On my bike the tank is held on by two bolts at the front and a rubber strap at the rear. It looks like there was a stud that has been cut off flush with the rubber mount at the rear of the tank. The rubber strap just connects between the tank and the frame. There appears to be no further modification. The fuel tap is very close to the carby fuel inlet. i.e. a short fuel hose.

so I'd have to grind the post off first
first I'll see if someone can weld the leak shut but it probably won't last long since I MX. Anyone know who makes a plastic aftermarket tank for the KDX?
