kdx throttle replacement

Hey guys I was out riding today and hit a tree. Everything is in tact except for my throttle, and my head and chest are pretty sore. Thank God for protective gear. Well my question is do I have to buy the oem twist throttle assembely for my 91 kdx200? or will other year/ bike twist throttels work? thanks

Yeah but just with the stock replacement from the Kawasaki Dealer.

motorcycle will be selected by default and then choose your year and model. It will give you a great parts diagram with a breakdown of the whole throttle system so you know what part numbers to ask for. The throttle diagram is under the handle bar section. Good Luck with it. I put a CR throttle on my Yamaha once and it worked fine but I used the whole throttle assembly.

yea like the whole peice needs to be replaced, so I guess what im asking is if i slide some other twist throttle in will the stock throtlle cable fit into that throttle assembly? thanks

I would think another assembly could work, so long as the "button" on the end of the cable fits in the circular pocket that keeps the cable end in place.
