kdx200sr water pump

ive just built a kdx/kx hybrid.

wonder if anyone can help out.
im rebuilding all the waterpump seals bearings etc
in a 1990 200 sr engine

does the sr use a mechanical water pump seal?

and does this differ from the standard kdx ? does that use the same configuration of seals etc?

Make sure you check the impellar shaft for wear too. The seals can wear grooves in the shaft that replacing the seals only will not stop the leaking.

My standard road legal KDX (1991 200) uses a mechanical seal in the water pump.

Check this site, it is japanese, but not that difficult to use.
Choose motorbikes and than the bike you have.
This site is good, because you can find all the parts you need for the "sr" and also for the "normal" bikes, so you can compare the partnumbers.

"R" V's "SR"

Hi there, just go and order a seal from the same year "R" model from your local dealer as the motor is identical.
