I have a 2001 Kawasaki KE100. Recently, the bike started having a problem. It will start cold, and run for just a few minutes. Took the carb out, cleaned it, put back together. Still doing dame thing, runs for a few mins and then dies down. Noticed the fuel line wasn't filling up--so the bike was starving for gas. It's got a brand new petcock, so its not clogged, gas flowing freely through it. From reading a few posts, it seems it could be a float problem. One thing I should also mention is, when the bike sits over night, fuel leaks out the overflow. Is it possible the float is causing this problem that fuel will not flow down to the carb? Does anyone know where I can find technical data such as what height the float should be set for optimum performance? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
