I just got a 110/100-18 kenda carlsbad rear tire for my kdx 220. I'm not sure which way to install it (tread direction). Anyone know? Thanks.

kenda carlsbad

It looks like an awesome tread and can't wait to see how it hooks up. Have only had a worn tire on it since i bought it.

Regards,
Bill

Check the side wall of the tire for a directional arrow.

Looking at the picture I think it doesn't matter.

A bit off topic here but has anyone noticed a "smell" from Kenda tires? I have a Kenda Millville that hooks up great, but has an odor like REALLY BAD moto sox. Anybody else notice this?

you can put it on either direction. One direction is for hard pack, and the other is for intermediate terrain. It says which is which on the side of the tire.

Like Mully said, check the sidewall it will indicate one direction for "Hard" terrain and one for "Intermediate". I run mine in the intermediate direction and get good traction in the So. Calif. desert. :ride:

MX GZR, I've heard of tire kickers. But tire sniffers??? :rotfl:
Other than the malodorous qualities, how do you like the tire? I'm thinking about getting one.

Kewl fellas. Found it. It looked kind of like just an emblem or something but it does does show one way for hard, the other way for intermediate. i wonder how much fun i'm going to have today changing it. :)

I just put on a Kenda Millville a month or so ago

Didn't notice any bad smells, just the usual rubber smell

Maybe you should check your socks
