KTM 400 Valve Adjustment

I was wondering if somebody could explain the process of a valve adjustment on the KTM 400/520's.  I'd like to think it can be done w/o paying my local shop to do it but the book doesn't even tell you the tolerances.

Since this is a regular maintenance item on these bikes, I'm sure some of you have done it.
