It appears that KTM is a bully when it comes to how they are doing business here in north America. After one of their dealers paid $80k for the domain name KTM.com to grow their internet business for two very successful years, KTM offered them $6K for it. Of course, that was a paltry offer so they raised the offer to $10K. No deal, as anyone reasonable would at least want their original investment back. Well the counter offer got up to $60K and when the dealer refused that unacceptable offer, KTM pulled the plug on the dealership and then sent them notification that because they are no longer a authorized KTM dealer, they have no rights to the KTM.com domain. Do not take one source to make up your mind on this. There are a lot of other boards out there who have said that KTM is not doing this as a result of the domain name but will not divulge anything due to the lawsuit (which makes sense).

Since there is no way to get anything but conjecture and one side of the story I am closing this down.

Feel free to re-submit a new thread once the lawsuit is settled and the facts are present.
