KTM Jr Adv bogging/stalling

I've got a 99 KTM Jr Adventure. Here's my situation. Hope someone out there can help . . .

1) From idle to acceleration there's a dead spot at about quarter throttle. Then it seems to hit. Is this normal?

2) After the engine is warmed up the engine will die when the throttle is closed. Example, my son approaches a turn with throttle open, chops the throttle and the engine dies. It restarts on first kick and will run as long as he's at least feathering on the throttle. What's going on?

Try float adj on carby, vent line on fuel tank cap, lean pilot circuit,,,,
