my 2001 ktm mxc 400 seems like it wants to stall out when I slow down to make turns or going up slight uphills trails winding in and out around obstacles, I have to stay in 1st gear, my suzuki dr-200 going up the same trail in 1st gear is like an automatic, no jerking or chain slapping. another rider who test drove the mxc-400 says it may need to be geared lower or accelerator pump in carb adjusted??? he just called me he also test drove a ktm 520 exc and says it was very smooth at low speed and probably the best bike he ever rode, just dont like the weight compared to his cr250. any other info would be appreciated.. once I get out of the tight-stuff and crack the trottlle it takes off, much more speed than an old man like me could ever need.
