KTM questions for new buyer

Interested in either new or skightly used KTM's, question:
What are the 400 SXC, 2000 models that I see? I thought SX were the motocross versions, these appear to be more like EXC's.
Power band on 300 MX and EX models, smooth or hard hitting?
Can the SX's smaller gas tank fit on the MX and EX models?
Only difference between MX and EX besides the lights is the longer transmission?
The 200 MX looks fun, true?

The 400 SXC is basd on the old 4 stroke chassis and has the LC4 motor. It is not a new RFS, although it would make a great dual sporter or trail bike.

IMO, the new 300s are bit much for the tight eastern woods (unless the trail is dry or more wide open). The magazines usually favor the 300 in the west.

I have not ridden a new 200, but a buddy of mine just picked-up his new 200 MXC this week. Our riding group can now do our own little 200 vs. 300 vs. 400 shootout this year.

well how about this: KTM125 exc VS ktm 200 exc VS ktm 400 excrfs? Any insight on those bikes. I'm gonna start racing this year and wanna know which bike would be best for the beginner racer. Oh yea enduro racer.

I think we need more info. How big are you? What class to you expect to run and what's your experience? What type of racing do you plan on doing? What type of terrain will you be racing in?
