KTM recall?

My father in law thought he heard something today on the news about a KTM recall, but he had no details. Is this true or is he hearing things?

My wife heard that. She thought they said bring your bike in for a full refund! Haven't been able to confirm that. It envolves the fuel tank and the posibility of fire from leaking.

I can handle that, if that's all there is to it. I see orange in my future and just wanted to make sure it was not some major mechanical concerns.

I got the recall letter from ktm but it just says "to replace defective gas cap". I don't know if its to correct the cap coming off or what. But the cap coming off is a problem I know lots of people running harescramble's that its happen to. If your running 10 miles plus per lap you can lose enough gas not to get back. Not to mention having gas all over everything.Could be a real problem if it gets on a cherry red 4 stroke head pipe.
