Kx 100 2002 - kx 85 2007 Ignition

Hi I have a kx 100 2002 which we just bought a new motor for - a kx 85 2007. Well the ignition is different on it and the wires don't match up. I was wondering if I can just take the ignition stator off of the old 2002 and place it on the 2007?? Or do I have to buy a new 2007 ignition for this engine?? Thank you for your help!!
