I have a kx 125 right now and I want a faster one. I am trying to decide between a kx 250 and a cr 250 the years would be 2003-2007 and I was wondering if ethier one had any problems and witch one would be faster.

Neither of them have any problems. The CR250 might have more topend but the KX250 has alot more bottom end.

Go for the KX, I know a few people with newer CR's and the motors are not up to par.

i agree go for the KX250, it has a lot of bottom end.

KX250, if you like the way their 125 feels, then youll like their 250.

who's winning the races??? Honda or Kawi's?? I'd go with the kawi.

Since he's looking at 2003-2007 CR250 and KX250's let's compare the relevant data to make a decision based on your criteria.

03 Honda CR250 MX and SX Champ.
04 Yamaha YZ250 wins SX and a 4 stroke is MX Champ.
05 Suzuki RM250 wins SX and a 4 stroke is MX Champ.
06 A 4 stroke wins both SX and MX Champs.
07 A 4 stroke will win both titles yet again.

So based on your criteria it's easy to see the Honda CR250 is the only logical choice between it and the KX250 as it won a title the KX250 did not. However for my money the Suzuki RM250 and the Yamaha YZ250 were the far better 250 2 strokes during this period.

Do not listen to chilli or jeromeo. you cant compare thoes factory bikes. the bike that you buy at your dealer is completely different. You need to ride both of them and make your decision basek on how the bike feels.
