Hey guys.....after a "little" get-off this weekend, I noticed my
FMF SST pipe is has a dent in the lower part of it right at the turn of the pipe. I was wondering if that will hurt the performance as much as some people say?

Also, If I need a new one....which do you guys like the best? I was thinking of the Pro Circuit Platinum or just go back with the SST. I like a lot of low end. I ride mostly MX and some woods.

I have a 2002 KX 250. Top end has about 10 hrs on it. Wiseco piston and V-Force 2 reed cage.

A dent can certainly hurt the performance. In general, the closer to the cylinder the worse it is.

I would highly recomend you get a carbon fiber e-line pipe guard for whatever pipe you run next. I've had them on my last two bikes and have found them to be very durable and as a bonus they improve performance by keeping the pipe temp up and more consistent.
