Kx 60 Linkless Shock

My son's KX 60 has a custom linkless shock set up. I bought the bike used and don't know to much about this mod. I think the shock vendor is Kornutt, or something like that. It is a pretty trick set up, with a remote resoirvoir, and no link like on a KTM. Strangly enough it has no adjustments, just spring pre-load. I have all of the stock parts, shock, linkage, etc., that have never been used, so I can switch back if need be.

Anyone have any experience with this type of set up? Is it a better design than stock? My son is a beginner to intermediate rider just moving up from a KTM 50.
