I have a friend that did the swap on a 220. He got the forks off some guy that parts out new bikes located in Colorado and advertised in Cycle news. The guy offered to buy his old ones after he had sold my friend the new KX forks. Friend sent the old ones but the guy never sent payment for his used ones. Beware anyone offering suspension or any parts in Colorado.
The swap worked out great , he used forks off a KX250.
I almost tried that , found a `94 KDX 250 cheap a while back. Considered taking the engine out to 310 and trying it fit it in my 2000 chassis. The wide ratio gears would be nice with the 310.
