KX500 Rider

Hi everybody. I am new to this site and find it very informative and interesting. I just bought a 2000 KX500. I have about 10 years of riding experience in mainly single track, desert, and technical jeep roads. I also recently purchased a 2004 KDX200, but I will leave discussions regarding the kdx for the proper thread. Just looking for general information regarding the kx500. It still has a stock tank and I would like advice on an aftermarket tank (big as possible). The bike is a blast! I know I will have a lot of questions as time passes. I don't think the guy before me did too much maintenance, but he says it has a new top end. It runs good, but I think it could be better. Look forward to new discussions. Long live the big bore 2 stroke!
