kx80 burning oil???

I have a 1997 kawasaki kx80.....I bought it about a week ago and when we bought it we had to lay it flat on it's left side in the truck box because it would not fit standing up.... when I got home and rode it after about an hour of riding I noticed there was oil dripping out of the silencer and onto the swingarm.... At first I thought it might be burnin oil because i had it on it's side, but I have burnt almost 2 tanks of gas and it is still dripping.....Does anyone know what the problem is or is the engine just starting to wear out??? my dad said it prbably just needs a rebuild, but i thought I would ask anyways.....thnx :bang:
