Lc4 400 Need Help

A friend has just purchased a 00 LC4 400, and I am trying to find any info, as he is new to the off-road scene. The bike is bone stock, with 280 miles! Anyway, we pulled off all the obvious dead weight, etc, however the suspension is real soft, the stock super trapp silencer is extremely restricted as I suspect is the intake. I have just joined this site, so I apologize for possible oversights in my attempted search, as I netted nothing. I am a wr 400 owner, DS ready. Take all the help I can get. Thanks.

it sounds like its the dual sport, there is an optional smaller tank/shrouds combo, that will make it feel much slimmer and lighter, and remove the snorkel from airbox richen carb as per exhaust modifications(a little bit for discs removed, a lot for hi flow pipe) replace black breather screen on carb rubber hose with uni part # up-123
