I have a place in Lewiston and I usually stick mainly to Big Bear Loop and Crapo Loop. Does anyone know of any dirt bike trails near by? I was thinking of going to Bull Gap but almost the whole thing is 50'' wide, according to the map. It seems like it is a really easy trail, like a Jeep could handle it. Is that true? Anybody know of anything a little more challenging that is going to be fun on dirt bikes?

Tomahawk loops b and c. the C loop was quadded out but the B loop is not. Both are labeled bike only and they are currently working on "tighting them up".

Hartland - I live in Atlanta. Rarely ride Crapo and Big Bear for some reason (pretty wide stuff). The Hunt Creek loop crosses County Road 624 just west of Lewiston. The east side of Hunt Creek is some pretty fun trail - you have to tolerate some nasty whoops, but inbetween are some rather fun sections. At the bottom of Hunt Creek (where the trail is common with the Mio Loop), is a bit of rocky stuff that can be fun and challenging. Hunt Creek is designated bike only - though west side is totally quaded out. Bull Gap is indeed rather wide - though not quite Jeep wide I dont think (or hope!). Bruno is right though, Tomahawk B is some good stuff (that is up by Wolverine/Indian River). If you want some real tight stuff, head down to Rose City next weekend. Saturday there is a Family Enduro Series event - great for a first taste of enduro riding, or if you feel up to it, Sunday is a District 14 event. Here is a link to the flyer:

(Bruno - nice seeing you and the family this weekend!)

Lewiston trails

Try the Hunt Creek trail where it crosses 612, start where it crosses furthest to the East and head south all the way to the high point on the trail. Its got a long sandy climb on the back side. The wood section is like a dream. I'll be there June 27-29.
