Yeah, it wouldn't be worth it really to do all that to make it legal. I'll be ordering the motor, exhaust, front springs and other small items for the front forks, rear shocks, and other small odds and ends needed in a week or so.

Which site would you guys suggest buying off of for the 140cc lifan?

Any one ever deal with www.hooperimports.com? They seem to me the only place I can find the true 140cc other then eb@y which I'd rather not buy from. Every where else has the 138cc which is a bore and stroke of 54x55.5. The true 140cc is 55x59.5. Any input is appreciated.

Have you dealt with them? Good service, good shipping, reputation? $400 is a lot of cash to be sending to some site online that I can't seem to find any reviews or such about.

Yes MonkeyMouse I dealt with hooperimports there good place to buy things that where I got one of my 110 E start for one ATC 70 and min parts from Beatrice Cycle "aka DrATV".
As for 138 vs 140
138cc is really 128cc or can be 138cc that depened the crank it come with.
138cc "really 128cc " with a 55.5 will rev fast then 140cc becuase of the shorter stroke where the 140 give you more Torque at buttom end.
