Linkage Rod damage from backed out bolt

Here are some pictures of what happened to one of the linkage rods on my 98KX250 when the lower shock mount bolt backed out. What's interesting is I never noticed it while riding. Thank goodness I happened to spot it before it was too late. This makes a good case for the use of loctite. :eek:

I had the exact same thing happen on my CR 125. Except my piece was snapped in two. Luckily I found a guy on line who cracked his frame and he is parting out his bike.
