I'm going to look at a 89 or 91 kx 125 today that the stator is out on it. How hard is it to replace and what else should i look for? Is it pretty easy to find parts for? I don't want to end up with a basket case that i have to work on every time i want to ride lol I already have enough of them. Thanks for thehelp.

Kx 125

I have been looking for a rotor that goes over top of the stator and am having no luck at all. I have called about 20 places for a used one and the only thing I can find is OEM parts. Tha bike is worth probably $500 and the rotor alone is $500. Good luck finding parts, buy something newer and you will spend more time riding.

The newer the better. I agree with boris. The newer the bike the more readily available the parts are. Just looked on babbits and its like $440 for the stator.

I own a 97 and 93 kx125 and thoes 2 bikes are extremely diffucult to find parts for. I have to have 2 so that while one is down I can ride the other!
