Looking to by my first bike-any suggestions?

I'm looking at trading my ATV in on a dirt bike. I weight 145lbs and am 5' 6" tall any suggestions on a make and model for a beginner? I have a little experinence on bikes-I used to race BMX. HA HA

I would check out the CRF150, maybe even 230, if you can manage the height. It depends on your inseam. A TTR125L would also be a good bike. The 125/150 have mild motors and are good to start out on, but if you have an aggressive riding style you would quickly bore of these bikes. Some other bikes to consider are any of the big-wheel 80/85cc 2-strokes, or a KX/RM100, but agian, if you grow any taller, you will outgrow these. A 125cc two-stroke, or a KDX200/220, would be better choices in the long run, but may be a handful to learn on, even though if can be done. TTRs, 125s, and KDXs are easy to find used.
