it really depends on what kind of bike you are looking at. there are 2 strokes that are like honda's XR's are will rarely need a top end. that would be the KDX's.
then there are also the high performane race bikes that will produe a lot of power and thus need more maintenance. these bikes are CR's, YZ's KX's RM's and SX's.
2 strokes need about as much maintenance as 4 strokes. the nice thing about 2 strokes is that the engine is much more simple.
they dont make a cr150... do you mean the CRF150R? if so that is a very high performance race bike. that thing will need a HIGH amount of maintenance. i think the manual recommends a top end every 15 hours but it could be less.
Other then that the 150's are really fun to ride. tons of torque and very light. i had one before my current bike and it was a blast.
