Master Link

I have recently misplaced my master link (520) when I took it off and cleaned it. My friend stated that not all 520's are the same and that I would have to bring my chain in somewhere so they could fit it... Is this true because I was also looking on ****. :cool:

yea some are a little wider afer the clip- some have nuts that screw on, some are o-ring style
go to a hardware store,they have all kinds of them

does your chain not come with an extra master link?? mine did.

I bought the bike used an didn't buy the chain or get extra master links...

you talking about me asking Q's? i think i only asked a couple about a tank, and shock seals
i have been around bikes since i was about 7 im not all knowing by far but usually read books,manuals,think about things for a while-
i usually figure out most stuff or ask local peers

and pray a lot - lol
if this is what you were meaning- sorry if it isn't

about the links from the hardware store- im not sure if they are case hardened or not but i haven't broke any yet good luck-
