Still in the works, but bikes are being sold legally (stay of execution). The newest fix information is on the AMA website, I was reading about it in my last "American Motorcyclist" magazine

Lead darn near every where you look, if you try hard enough. No wait, the water lines are too expensive to fix, lets mess with the dirt bikes. Everyone knows how kids chew on them. This mess, started by the big 4, is not over yet. And the idiot trying to save the children in Illinoise is still at it, the flowers bill is sure to pop up again. Vintage Bob

Yes they had a hand in it, doing a little research via search engines might be the best way to get up to speed.
