Yamaha enduro, 100cc, concerned about height, what is standard height?
1) small ten year old 4'4"
2) Not really aggressive, very cautious
3) Plans to ride in field
4) Rode a 50cc once, loved it, cautious
5) Unknown if he will ever race
6) Mechanic in family
7) don't care, bike looking at is 2 stroke
8) I have no dealer close
9) 300
10) Ontario, Canada
11) 10
12) Looking at a 70's (it's white with a little blue) 100cc, yamaha enduro, that is going to have the throttle adjusted to slow it down at first.

-bike apparently can be started easy, owned by a small engine repair guy.

sounds like it's a Yamaha DT100. It's probably a little large for the kid. "standard" means it'll have a clutch, which will steepen the learning curve dramatically.

It's a heavy, old motorcycle. Two shocks, wimpy forks, but hey, it's street legal!

There's a kid in my town with a Kawasaki KE100. It's pretty much the same bike sold since the 70s. 100cc of street legal 2 smoker, lol.

I would make sure to have him/her go sit on it and see if they feel comfortable.
