Moose Reed Spacers do they really work!!!

I was wondering if the Moose Reed Spacers actually make more bottom. Any help would be great.

I put one on my 87 rm125 a few years ago. It helped by giving it more power in the lower midrange. I did feel the difference. IMO, it was worth the $25 or so I spent on it.
