motor oil for yz250f

Im new to 4-Strokes but Is the Thumper Semi-Synthetic 4-Stroke Racing Oil made by bel-ray a good oil to use in a yz250f? and how often should should i change it, and change the oil filter?
And any extra advice on maintaining a 4 stroke engine would be great to!
