Anyone, anyone?

The standard: where, when, what do you drive, etc.

Last Friday was a bit of a mud-fest, and I ended up leading quite a bit (the horror).

hopefully I can make it out there on saturday (w/o my 5 year old team mate), so I can try and ride at a little faster pace. I really hope I can finally get out and meet you guys. My bike is in the shop right now, I'm hoping to get it back by tommorow but, if not I will definately have it back by Sat. and we will be heading out to Rocky Ridge. We will be in either a black Expedition towing an old trailer or we will be in a white F150 with em in the back. Yellow RM250 and a lil red XR50. Hope to see you guys @ Muenster, if not hopefully another time. Have fun and be safe!!!

I might have to go out and ride Saturday, if I can swing it. If I do, I'll be in the van. I'll look for you, Ryan.

I'm going either Saturday or Sunday, will know by tomorrow for sure. Last two times I've been there, it was extremely sloppy. Two weeks ago(I think it was) we rode 12 miles all day. I have NEVER seen mud like that before. Reminded me of one of those 'blackwater' races. Hopefully this weekend will be nice, it is supposed to be.

Oooh, oooh, pick me. I could do Sat. Haven't been on the bike in well over a month so I'll be slower than usual. I'll see if I can stir up one or two more..............

What was your bike in the shop for? Have you ever been to Munster? I meet up with Monk and JDM there as well as a few others and I got to admit that they are the best group of guys I have ever meet.

Unless something changes, I am working this weekend. I added a few extra holes to the air box last weekend (6 little Uni-filter holes) and now I waiting on a JD jetting kit. I will be doing some jet changes and tweeking if it shows up. This will complete all the free mods and some not so free mods.

Sounds like there's a group going. I'll probably park up top, just to the right of where you sign in. I'll probably get there early and ride around a bit.

This might be the first "dry" weekend I've seen in months.

See you guys out there!!

I blew the fork seals and they are putting a new o-ring chain on while they have it. I knew if I tried to tackle replacing the fork seals for the first time that I would not have it ready to go this weekend. I have been to Muenster and I cant wait to meet up with you guys. $uperman you asked me about the trailer, I bought a trailer, its definately not what I should of bought but, I have to make it work for now because I dont have the money at the moment to run out and buy another. :ugg: Still no word as of yet on my bike status, Brian @ SMS Racing in Denton (he is an awesome guy by the way) told me I would have it back by tommorow at the latest.

Hey monkster, what do you drive I'll meet you over there. I'm usually a pretty early arrival myself. I'm in a blue Nissan Frontier CC towing KTM with 72 on the plates (for no reason whatsoever by the way). I'll pay and head over to the areas on the right near the fence if that's where you'll be.

Are you guys talking Saturday or Sunday? I can't make it Saturday unless I leave early, but was planning on riding all day Sunday.

I probably won't make it either day. Still getting ready for New Mexico. Boy, what a nice day it's going to be. This is killing me.

Brian: I'm still talking Saturday.
JMD: That sucks. You'll be missed.
Slower: I've got a red Ranger and a black KX.

When you pull up in front of the building where Rebecca is to pay, I'll be parked almost directly in front of there. About 100 yards up. It's about an hour and a half drive, so I'll probabaly be up there between 9 and 9:30.

As for those blown fork seals, well, I've got a weaper. There's a small puddle on the garge floor. Hopefully, it won't be too much of a damper on the day (pun intended...I can hear the collective groan).

Alright, since you turkeys are all going on Saturday, I guess I will too. I'll just have to leave around 2:30, though to be at work later. I'll have my newbie sister with me, so I'll need to park through the second gate so that she can ride in the grassy areas (where she is content to ride all day, as long as I check back every now and then). Look for me in a white Mazda truck(Ford Ranger clone) pulling a small trailer with a KTM 250 and XR 100. The truck has a set of OE Mustang wheels on it--should be easy to spot.

That's cool Brian. I usually don't stay all day either. I'll find you.

Monk-I'll probably be there a little before you. Its the same drive time for me but I like to get out of the house before my girls get out of bed. Are you talking along the fence line or straight back into the park from the little cabin? Where you driving from? I'm in Lewisville.

Monk, you can temporarily fix that leaking fork seal. Take off the dust wiper; insert a .005-inch feeler gauge up into the fork seal and work it in and out to remove the dirt that is probably causing your leak. You'll have to take off the fork guard to get all the way around, but you should be able to get the seal cleaned enough to stop leaking. I do this after almost every ride, as my KTMs leak when they get dirty. You can do this many times before you need to replace the seals.

My fork seals started to leak after the last couple fo rides and I used an old film negative to do the same thing. I hope it works. I did not have an opportunity to ride the bike hard since. I added the seal savers but heard both good and bad things about using them depending on the riding conditions (dusty vrs muddy). It is worth a try.

I keep 35mm film in my toolbox I bring with me for just that reason. You can perform the surgery on site if needed.

I'll try to describe it a little better. When you turn right into the park from 373, if you make another right, I'll be parked just past the port-o-pots about 50 yards away from where you sign in.

I'll be coming from Keller. I'm planning on leaving my house at 7:00, but I have to mix some gas and load up in the morning, so I might not be that quick. I am pretty stoked though... We'll see.

I'll let you guys with a more experience on this tell me what I need to do tomorrow. It's leaking very slowly.

Last time I was out it was extremely muddy, and both fork seals were leaking badly when I got home. I wiped some 35mm film around both of them and they are golden! I guess I 'll see you guys in the morning. I'd really like to park through the second gate for my sisters sake, but I'd also like to park with you guys. I guess I'll play it by ear. See you there.
