Broadcasting music (not in the public domain) is ILLEGAL. Web, Radio Station, "underground" radio station, etc... is illegal.

Kinda funny that your worried about playing a song on your website that you took for took off of another instead of buying it in the first place. ;) I've used Kazaa before too so i'm not preaching, just thought it was funny. :)

What about if you bought the cd and record the music yourself from your cd and put it on.. Whos to know the diffrence, right?....if you can do it that way.
Tree jumper- well, know one knows if I dl it over kazza unless I tell them, (not saying I did, I said IF....lol.....) but if i publish it on a web site then everyone will know, unless u can post bought music for non-profit, then know one could know the diffrence....hmmm.lol

I know the answer, in copyright issues class at school. You can't broadcast music in any public place without consent from the owner (the band in this case) if that doesn't go through there is a company called ASCAP that you pay money to depending on how many people will hear it, what kinda space its in (building) and what not. ASCAP has permission from about 99% of all music out there to do this, and the artists get a percentage of the profits that ASCAP makes. That's how it works. Hope I helped

That helps a little I guess. But it wassn't the answer I wanted to hear.lol. So, do ALL the radio stations have to get permissiong for ever song they play, cause they make it sound like they get their hands on any new cd and play it right away. O-well, i'll jujst have to keep the music off the page then:( To0 bad my house wassn't my own country and it was sovern, then it wouldn't matter what their laws were(only mine.hahaha).lol

Here is the deal. If you are not making money, they can't do anything! Radio stations are businesses that are playing music to make money. They can not sue you for money you are not making. Now, if you make people pay to see your sight, then you would have to pay certain concessions to the record label, not the band, unless it was an independent release from the band. Unless your sight gets about 10,000 hits a day, you have nothing to worry about either way. Good day.

Man I have listened to your songs and your band is very good. I don't listen to that style of music much anymore, but I think I might start listening to it before I ride. It definately gets you pumped up! Really good guitar playing and good solos. Good job :D

this information is false. If i am in a cd store, and they are playing cds for the customers to hear, they have to pay ASCAP. if i walk into a resturant and music is playing (non radio station) then they are paying ASCAP to play this music, any public performance of a copyrighted work is prohibited by law unless you get permission. a website is public place, the only music you can play with out permission from the author or from ASCAP would be public domain stuff, which is before copyright laws came into play or their copyright has expired, which i think is prior 1922.

THANKS MIKE T . THIS OUR FIRST ATTEMPT AT RECORDING/WRITING. WE HAVE TO WRITE 4 OR 5 MORE TUNES TO RELEASE THE CD. WE ARE GOING FOR A ONE TIME MOTOCROSS/FREESTYLE ONLY CD AND THEN MAYBE MORE MAIN STREAM STYLE AFTER THAT. WE ARE HOPING THAT SOME VIDEO PRODUCERS MIGHT BE INTERESTED IN OUR SONGS FOR ANOTHER EXTREME VIDEO, AS IF THAT MARKET ISNT SATURATED ENOUGH.

It's your band, but I would like to suggest at least one slow ballad type song to show your veratility. You guys really play the guitars, drums, keyboards and what not very well. Most bands get hooked up with just one good song. Others get hooked up because they play and sound good, then someone else gives them a really good song to sing. I think if you did a slow one they would see that you don't just go one speed.

You and your band really have something going on, keep it up.

BTW what instrument do you play and which voice are you?

i actually play bass and sing mostly backup. this style of music is actually very different than what we play in the cover bars. we dont play disco . we cover bands like puddle of mud, nickelback, creed, collective soul , tragically hip( have you heard thier early stuff, like, blow at high dough). then we go to the other end of the spectrum to metelica, megadeth.etc. and then throw in some pink floyd for the hell of it. we did this style as kind of an experiment since we all race mx. i'll try get you a cover song off of one of our video tapes or a sound board tape. i was thinking of writing a ballad called my track is burried in snow, or, snow way i'll ride today. but then again i dont think florida or california riders will be able to relate to those ideas
