Hey all, i have a new KLX 300, and i was canging the oil the other day. But i have to lay the bike over to cange the oil filter, so i turned the gas off, and there was no oil in the crank case so i layed it over gently, when i got the filter back on (only about 30 secs on its side) and filled it back up with oil and turned the gas on it came shotin out of the carb and wont stop, inless i turn the gas off, and it wont start like this, it is comeing from the tube from the flote bow, well thanks for your time
Philip

Your float is stuck, if it is, you will need to pull the bowl. With the bike layed compleatly over the hinge pin for the float slid out and is pinning(No Punn Intended) the float open.

Good Luck,
Phillip

Have you tried rotating the shift lever up one spline to see if it helps. I found it helped me and my big feet.

That's what I had to do(adjust the shift lever up) & no problems since. Oh, buy the way, if you use a little grease to hold the oil filter spring, you don't have to lean it over to install the new filter.
