National do not call list available

There is finally a national do not call list available to eliminate most telemarketing calls.  It goes into effect in June, but you can register  now at http://www.donotcall.gov   Just thought I would pass this along for anyone interested.

Why are long distance carriers exempt from calling? They call the most.

I read in the paper that here in Cali if you register on their site they will automatically register you on the national list.

airlines, phone companies, etc give the government a cut i guess, thats why they can call.
im gonna wait before i get on the list, cause some bozo probably will have something backwards about it that turns it out to be a national please call list.
