Need a direction to go

Hey guys what up? hope everyone is doin good.
I've decided to start dirt riding for quite some time now and i finally have my own money to buy a bike, i just dont know what i need for my body type, im 5'10 and weight 165 lb.
Please note that I live in Cancun Mexico and well, sadly there is very little variety, basically the only models i have acces to are what honda has to offer. I'm also looking for somthing that can be ridden on the street, the streets here are pretty ****y so its basically off road, i like the crf230f but like i said i dont know if thats too small, too big, i hope that with your guyses expertise you can direct me in the right way, thanks.

not too aggressive
plan to ride off road, some MX
no riding experience what so ever
very interested in doing my own bike work
I'm more inclines towards honda
