NEED HELP IDENTIFYING KX80 YEAR!! Please help

Hi my cousin has a Kawaski KX80 and he was told it was 1986. But I'm not 100% sure. I can't check the VIN number because its been grinded down. But it need to know the year of it so I can order parts for it. Can anyone give me any info on how to determine the year just by looking at it?

you might be able to figure out the year by the engine numbers unless they have been filed off also. or take a picture of it and try a reverse image search on google
