!!!!!!!!!needd Help With 2007 Rmz250!!!!!!!

My 2007 rmz250 runs mint. except when it gets really hot it starts to make a clicking sound. Especially when i am hard on the throttle. And then when i shut it off it is a wicked pain to kick over. Can someone tell me if this is the valves or something else

Checking the valve clearance is a good place to start.
