new bike

I just ordered a new 2003 KX 125 along with new gear. First time I have been into dirt bikes since 85-86 when I had a 85 KX 125. I am pretty excited about getting back in the dirt where my heart has always been. I have been riding on the road continuously since 88 and still have a street bike. I also bought my wife a street bike and taught her how to ride. She doesn't care about riding off road though. Just wanted to let everybody know that I was ready to get dirty again! Also, I am new to this forum. It looks great and has so much useful information.

Welcome to DRN & congratulations on the new bike. I just started offroad last August after a 20 year layoff and really enjoy getting out. I'm sure you will too. So how long do you have to wait before you ride?

I should pick it up in about 2 weeks. I work a strange schedule and is actually something I am worried about, not being able to ride much. I am pretty excited and will probably wind up keeping it for several years before thinking about geting rid of it. Another fear is getting hurt and not being able to work, but that could happen driving to the store, so I can't live like that. I'll let you know when I break it in.
