Get the nikon. Even though I love Canons, the D70 is AMAZING! Great camera and for that price, it's a no brainer. If those lenses for the Minolta were very very good lenses (pro quality) I'd go with the Minolta but those lenses can be found pretty cheap. Good luck and have fun with your new camera.
