New guy here

Hello -- I rode a street bike a bit here in Northern CA, but little off-road. Now looking for something to do both. My helmet question is in the gear forum, and when I can spend some more time there will be something in the 'choosing a bike' area.

The many models out there are a bit confusing, but I have some definite needs that will narrow it down.

Anyway this board has a lot of interesting stuff and I already found some helpful info. Thanks.

Thanks. I got answers to some of my helmet questions talking to a shop guy. Thought about the MSF dirt bike school, but it looks like it covers a lot of ground I just went through in the Basic RiderCourse. Maybe I'll get the DVD.
