I was in my local Kawi dealership yesterday and they had their 01 KX's marked with "Make an OFFER". I went to the other local Kawi dealer and they verbally said the same thing. I know the '02's are out but I've never seen them do this. Six months ago, you couldn't get $200 dollars off and now they'll take cost or less. Any thoughts?
I was going to get an '02, but if my local dealer is doing the same I may have to reconsider! Kawasaki must realy want to get rid of all their '01 models this year.
One of the Kawi dealers here has new 2001 KX 250's at $4295 and 2001 KX 125's at $3995. He'd probably go even less if you dickered with him over price.
That might be a starting point for your "make an offer" dealer.
The dealer here has had the KX250 marked way down since Christmas. Sadly, it seems that when the magazines give a bike a ho hum rating, it doesn't sell and they can't hardly give it away. Especially if it is yellow or green.
Im sure the KX is a great bike, heck my last bike was a 2000 kx, but most people will pay a bit extra to get what they really want. In my case I believe it was about $300 and what I really wanted was a CR:cool:
