Welcome Kimberly nice to see another fellow countryman ah countrywoman,ah you know what I mean. We are in Houma and I have been to K-dub's place. If you like trails its not bad, and don't be surprised if he opens the gate for you. He is very involved in this project and hangs around there. We ride MX, Josh thinks trails are borring(sp?), so if you like tracks New Iberia, Breaux Bridge, Hammond, Avondale, Kentwood,Fernwood, and they even have one in your back yard in Gonzales, these are all within an hour and a half from you. If you need some help or just want to ride let us know. :thumb:

Welcome, stay safe! :)

Thats really cool that your enjoying riding together! I'd wish it'd reach sixty degrees here, heck, I'd would be over joyed with forty degrees. I decided to have my suspension revalved this week and lace up my 18in rear rim for my KX. Next Sunday I'm gonna take the bike out and dial the suspension in. Should be good fun. Opps, I should stop rattling. How does your son like his new bike? I can relate to having parents against riding. My father hates motorcycles since he's uncordinated and crashed big time on a moped. My mom's side of the family is all motorheads and racers. I knew the answer would be 'No', so I went and bought my own bike when I was like 15 years old. I haven't been without a bike since. I bought my little sisters a bike for X-mas two years ago. They loved it! Most of my family rides now, except for my dad.

My mom isn't real thrilled about me riding but since she got a TW200 for Christmas from my stepdad, hopefully she will change her tune.

It's been cold here--I've been snowboarding more than riding--but we are hitting the dunes tomorrow. I'm sure I will post a ride report, and I'm sure it will be highly amusing.

Too bad you're way the hell up in Lubbock. We've got a small group of girl riders here in Austin. I just got a '02 Yamaha TTR125L this week and I can't flat-foot it, but it's good enough (I'm 5'2"). I took it out for the first time today. It was a blast! It's easy to learn on and control. I was all over the motocross track and did pretty well. I have a Yamaha R6 now, and have been riding for a couple years so I had a big learning advantage. Just giving my two cents. Good luck finding something!

Lubbock isn't too bad to ride... there is a lease that my boyfriend is on about 50 miles away which consists of 25 sections of land... there's dried river beds, a few hills, kalichie pits (i know I spelt that incredibly wrong) and some man made tracks that they've done. There's rock, sand, dirt, clay and cactus to ride on :) We're still debating which bike to get me... it's actually going to be my engagement present... kinda funny.. some people get a big ring... I get a dirt bike... seems much more practical to me... Sometime this spring we'll probably be going to Houston to see my family and we will definately take the bikes there.

Sounds like a great idea!   :)

And if people ask you "Where's your ring?!" you just tell 'em "It's WAAY too big to wear on my finger!"  ;)
